In Honor Of Our Essential Employees Garlock Announces April As 'Essential Employee Month'

Garlock announces April is being deemed as Essential Employee Month in gratitude to their essential employees

Garlock Printing & Converting’s infrastructure is imperative during the response to the COVID-19 emergency for both public health and safety as well as community well-being. Our employees play a vital role as our critical infrastructure has a special responsibility in these times to continue operations.

To honor our essential employees, Garlock Printing & Converting is deeming April as “Essential Employee Month”. For the month of April, we will be focusing on the talents and personalities of GPC and will be sharing stories from our employees of what makes them essential to our workforce. Employees are invited to join a hashtag campaign, "#IAMESSENTIAL" and will be featured throughout the month on social media. GPC hopes that this movement to honor employees extends across to all essential industries as we want all essential employees recognized for their vital role in these extremely difficult times.

Our packaging supports the food supply chain which feeds millions of Americans across all 50 states. Many packaged food brands are experiencing a sharp increase in sales – particularly in shelf stable and frozen foods. We also can’t forget to mention other household essentials like toilet paper and paper towels which GPC also plays a critical role in. Sales of these products have increased by 80% in some areas and right now our employees play a vital role in ensuring Americans are nourished and safe. Packaging is and will always remain essential.

We have a key role to play in feeding families across the United States. We are proud of our industry and our employees. We are thankful to the dedication of our employees and words cannot express the gratitude we have for them.
